For us, it portrays with a certain trust the time of a pirate approach on the sea of turbulent waters. An action that required a lot of courage and skill, causing terror who was being attacked. Without having to escape, the victims resisted to death, because that was their fate if they were captured. The pirates had as truth "dead men tell no tales" and so they killed old men, women and children not to remain witnesses. Every time I look at the picture I see the blank faces of bloodthirsty men, from various sources, guns blazing and causing destruction. I am distressed to think of everything that happened. That's the reason to choose this image. Our book is not fiction or a novel, it's a true story. Therefore, we feel that this image could translate the atmosphere that existed at that time.

ILHABELA AND THE TREASURE OF THE “TRINDADE” (or TRINIDAD)
The Mystery that challenged generations!

The TREASURE OF THE “TRINDADE” was protected for a long time by mysterious circumstances that hindered its location. So close and at the same time, so far from men, became legend and remained hidden in the darkness, waiting for a light to come at the right time. In the XXI century, a historical saga of nearly two hundred years continues to unfold in island of Ilhabela, São Paulo, on the coast of Brazil. Their precursors, still little known, traced the outlines of a great mystery that has puzzled archaeologists and researchers around the world. In 2010 a new character is involved in this epic quest to solve the riddle of the Treasure of the “Trindade”, he didn't expect for the great challenges that he will would face, revealing each of its steps and the amazing results of their studies. Based on real events, the book “Ilhabela and the Treasure of the Trindade” is a rescue of historical facts that gave rise to one of the greatest enigmas of our time and triggered an extraordinary adventure in search of treasure.

See more in:
http://www.facebook.com/ilhabelaeotesourodatrindade/

Buy the Book at the:
www.sportmar.com.br
Saint Clairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08078307573250149013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6221061983140762193.post-32271363421711996662014-10-22T21:37:58.260-04:002014-10-22T21:37:58.260-04:00Beautiful work!Beautiful work!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6221061983140762193.post-12618146698752071812014-10-13T15:34:35.077-04:002014-10-13T15:34:35.077-04:00This is a wonderful painting and the colors are so...This is a wonderful painting and the colors are so vivid it looks as though you painted it in HD.MJ_The_Programmerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07868559253886942695noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6221061983140762193.post-86652268448190889822014-10-09T19:28:31.567-04:002014-10-09T19:28:31.567-04:00And, I as well! And, I as well!Ken Laagerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17895089501115438902noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6221061983140762193.post-4272846918398034762014-10-09T19:25:18.223-04:002014-10-09T19:25:18.223-04:00Apologies for this delayed reply. In this case, my scrap file provided the basic background elements.
Values and colors for the setting are keyed to the main subject of the picture -- the figure: that is, they must harmonize with the light/shadow formula that describe the figure, but also appear to be behind him. As objects recede into the picture, they become increasingly obscured by intervening atmosphere. This illusion of spacial depth is known as aerial perspective. When I stepped into the gallery of N.C.Wyeth paintings at the newly opened Brandywine River Museum in 1971, the excitement of those paintings overwhelmed me. I'm sure you know what I mean.
